UK Raises Terror Threat Level To 'Severe'
Business Insider ^ | August 29, 2014 | Brett LoGiurato

Britain's government has raised the country's terror threat level to "severe," Home Secretary Theresa May said Friday.

It's the fourth-highest of five potential threat levels. According to the U.K. government, it means an attack is "highly likely." But there is no intelligence to suggest an attack is imminent.

May said the threat level was raised because of the risk from the deteriorating situation in Iraq and Syria, where extremist militants from the group calling itself the Islamic State (also ISIS or ISIL). May said, however, that there was no specific threat to Britain that caused the raise in the terror level. This is the first time Britain's terror threat level has been at "severe" since 2011.

"The increase in the threat level is related to developments in Syria and Iraq where terrorist groups are planning attacks against the West. Some of these plots are likely to involve foreign fighters who have traveled there from the UK and Europe to take part in those conflicts," May said in a statement.

"The first and most important duty of government is the protection of the British people. We have already taken steps to amend our powers and increase our capabilities for dealing with the developing terrorist threats we face. That process will continue and the British public should be in no doubt that we will take the strongest possible action to protect our national security."

In a statement delivered from Downing Street in London Friday afternoon, U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron said Britain was facing a "greater and deeper threat to our security than we have known before." He said confronting ISIS was part of a generational struggle that he thought could last "decades."

"Poisonous ideology of Islamist extremism is the root cause of the terror threat,"

‘Incubator for terrorism’: UK leaders under pressure to take on jihadist problem

Fox News
August 26, 2014

“The Home Office touts its “Prevent strategy” as an example of the effort to combat British-based Islamic extremism. The strategy focuses on supporting community-based campaigns and activity to rebut terrorist propaganda, to warn about the dangers of traveling to Syria and Iraq, and to identify and support those vulnerable to radicalization.

Critics say such methods are woefully inadequate and that successive British governments have failed to deal more substantively with the specter of Islamic extremism that haunts the UK.”

David Cameron just addressed the media minutes ago. More blabbing about how they must understand the plight of the Muslims and how it is only a few disgruntled youths causing trouble. More from the multicultural UK coming to the U.S.

Appeasement in the Face of Islamofascism

British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain returned to Heston Aerodrome near London in 1938 after meeting Adolf Hitler and enthusiastically waved the ‘Munich Agreement’ in the air, infamously stating that ‘peace for our time’ has been secured.

War was declared against Germany less than 12 months later, and Chamberlain’s decision to place trust in Hitler is viewed as a classic example of ‘appeasement’. Many would argue that the Munich Agreement was futile because war with Hitler’s Germany was inevitable, and yet more concessions would follow to keep peace. Others point out that without the benefit of hindsight, the last ditch attempt for peace, however small, had to be taken.

Winston Churchill was appointed war time Prime Minister in May 1940 and then demonstrated that British politicians were still willing to fight for other nations’ democracies and freedoms, as well as our own.

Whatever your opinion may be, Britain went onto fight Nazi Germany. Even after France fell, during the period of being all alone, Britain refused to surrender, and with the help of her allies, was eventually victorious. Traitors like William Joyce, whose involvement in the ‘Germany calling, Germany calling’ radio broadcasts, which carried threats and misinformation in English, were eventually hunted down and hanged for treason.

Islam: The Enemy Is Welcomed Inside the Gate

Modern day British society is multicultural, but immigration itself is not an issue if new arrivals are needed and then crucially, they assimilate and respect their new host culture. Rachel Molschky describes in the ‘Islam Hasn’t Changed: We Have’ article how Western politicians knew exactly that Islam is incompatible with our society based upon Judeo-Christian values because it is a supremacist and expansionist ideology.

So what were politicians thinking? After fighting to keep the Nazis from invading Britain, ‘Islamofascists’ were welcomed in! With good reason Europe had battled to keep Muslim hordes at bay for 1300 years, so this was the initial act of unnecessary treason.

Appeasers or Traitors?

The more Muslims misbehave, the more our leaders will show dhimmitude and absolve Islam; for example following the jihadist murder of Lee Rigby, Prime Minster David Cameron declared the killing was “a betrayal of Islam”. Cameron could perhaps plead ignorance, but his Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg misinformed the public by reading the ‘most peaceful verse’ Qur’an 5:32, which actually only prohibits killing Muslims unless for revenge, and gives a whole raft of Islamically ‘justified’ reasons for killing non-Muslims. If that is not enough then the following Verse 5:33 justifies killing in response to ‘causing mischief’. Surely Clegg cannot claim a lack of knowledge?

"Poisonous ideology of Islamist extremism is the root cause of the terror threat,"

At least someone admits it.

It could have to do with all the Muzzies who have infested the UK and refused to assimilate.

Be sure to thank the leftist multiculturalists for making this impending 'generational struggle' possible.

They need to receive the credit their idiocy is due.

Guess I’m cynical, but Cameron needs to buzz people up to shore up support for his party and he wants to scare the Scots into staying in the UK.

Everything he said was typical mealy-mouthed political speech. He started out sucking up to Islam and gave no specifics as to what he will do to stop it.

If any of these politicians were serious, they would declare Islam to be incompatible with a free society, ban it, and start deporting Muslims. It’s not going to happen.

And his comments about hate preachers will probably be used against Christian pastors who preach on the subject of homosexuality.

If this is strength, I would hate to see weakness.

Although I have heard no public statement about it, when I flew home last night.. security had been tightened.

There were NO “TSA Pre-checks” allowed, and they were searching EVERYTHING.

The UK will take no action to address the threat. Voluntary slavery is on its way. Pity.

There Will Be No Peace Until There Is No Islam.

Yet, our leaders believe that it is okay for Muslims to continue to immigrate to western countries.

When Muslims get strong enough, they become groups like the Taliban, ISIS, Al Quaeda and Boko Harum.

There are no moderate Muslims....they're just waiting.

We should close our borders for about 100 years and do some assimilating.
