The problem, of course, is that there are groups of Conservatives in KY, MS and SC that are trying the stay home/vote Dem thing to keep hated Republicans from keeping their seats. We’re, potentionally, doing what we do in GOP Presidential primaries: cutting off our noses to spite our faces by fragmenting between candidates.

Mark Levin had a good take on this: that Conservatives should pick one, and only one, Senate race each year to target the RINO in the general election. Enough to send a message, but not enough to determine control of the Senate. One seat isn’t going to matter. Three seats will.

IMHO the seat to go for this cycle is Cochranes. McConnell may have raised $800k for him and looked the other way for how it was used, but Cochrane and the Barbour Machine are the ones directly responsible for the most egregious violation/assault on Conservatives.

Additionally, the MS Democrat actually looks like a Conservative. Might even be someone who, a few years down the line, might be enticed to switch parties. Like Shelby did back in the 1990s.

The key factor tho is that there’s a better chance of a general election revolt WORKING in MS than in KY or SC. The goal is to win somewhere, in a highly and publically targeted manner. Try for three and win in two or three might throw the Senate back to the Dems. Try for three and lose in three will work to undercut Conservatism.

IOW we need to pick our battles. This cycle it’s Cochrane, not McConnell, who’s the better battle to fight.

Regarding your post number 73: You make some valid points and I can live with that. Replacing Cochran is fine with me. Logistically however the plan won’t work. Hell we can’t even agree on one conservative presidential candidate.
