A 32-year-old Marine was beaten by a group of men outside of a Mississippi restaurant after he was warned it wasn't safe for white people in the wake of the Michael Brown killing in Missouri, the serviceman's friend claims.
Ralph Weems, an Iraq war veteran, was in fair condition at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, a hospital spokeswoman said Monday. But his brother-in-law said that Weems had undergone brain surgery. The hospital would not respond to The Associated Press regarding that claim.
A 22-year-old man was busted in the beating and other arrests likely are coming soon, cops say.

And when one of them winds up hanging from a lamp post next to a burning cross, who’s fault is that? They were warned, right?
Reflecting on your comment I have sometimes wondered at the black people who are attracted to islam. Meaning that it seems to be a way of validating their violent tendencies given how many end up fighting in places like Syria and Iraq.

Curious about one thing ... Why is it ‘wrong’ in your post.
This is a redux of a days and days old story.
It’s fishy to boot, told by some friend of the Marine, none from witnesses, and only one statement from the cop who said it did not appear to be a hate crime. The original story reported that a crowd of 20 was actually a crowd of 6, for example.
The first story included the .45 carried by the Marine, but was otherwise identical.
One can deduce the Marine was looking for trouble and found it. Of course we hope he can pull through, but the full story is still in the freezer.

The white oppressors must stop beating up the hands of blacks with their face.

I think as a nation we need to recalibrate what we deem to be "obviously dangerous".
That is wrong, as in it was an incorrect statement.
HE DID HAVE A FIREARM ON HIM....at least he did when he was released from the police's field investigation at IHOP.
If your post means and implies we should eliminate what is "obviously dangerous" then am all for it.

I know that’s not how it is. And if I had a daughter, I’d certainly teach her to avoid crime, stay away from certain areas, etc. But when a person is a victim of crime, it’s not “their fault” because they dared to go somewhere. It’s the fault of the people who committed the crime, period.
Thank you Nea. I will tell you though, I think any woman that goes out late at night by herself or even with the girls is taking a chance I wouldn’t want someone I loved taking.
I don’t like to see women or men have to alter their social activity to be safe. Myself, there are place I won’t go late at night, and I try to be very self-aware in public.
