In what amounts to a “don’t blame us” statement, Apple appears to be trying to shake off any culpability it might have in this weekend’s massive posting of hundreds of stolen photos of a female celebrities in various states of undress (Again — no, we’re not linking to them). The company is saying there was no data breach on iCloud or Find My iPhone… but only in the sense that not everyone’s photos were stolen.

Someone needs to show me some proof before I believe the pics were really stolen.

Not only that, but the personal assistants these “celebs” have on staff to manage their accounts aren’t geniuses either, LOL.
If I understand what happened correctly, they were able to get the codes because Apple doesn’t lock out a person after a certain number of incorrect attempts are made to guess the password. So, you can try to get on using one of the millions of easy passwords that people typically use, and try endlessly until one works. That, if true, is a very bad flaw in a system that contains very private data online. It should lock a user out after 10 attempts or so.
Well if your password is your birthdate, or your kids name, or heaven forbid just the word "password"...
Like what? Someone saying “I had this and someone stole it” isn’t sufficient? Esp someone with ZERO motive to lie about them being stolen?
What. All of these people colluded to make this up?

Brute force attacks can find ANY password given enough time. Passwords are ridiculous. We should go to fingerprints, eye scans, voice ... biometrics of all kinds as the technology is perfected.
Or 123456, like I used for awhile.

In my opinion what we are observing here is evidence of the “Casting Couch” that has been traditionally used by producers to extract favors from young actresses for a promise of a job for 100 years. The photos are made to use as a black mail device to keep the girl enslaved and in line. Remember the Jack Woltz character in “The Godfather” who complained that Johnny Fontaine ruined the best piece of ass he ever had with his Guinea charm. I suspect that these pics originated in the camera phone of a movie producer. More shoes will drop, I suspect.
“not very bright” is being charitable. I don’t feel badly for any of these bimbos. But then I could not care less about “celebrities”.

When that info is hacked, you can’t change it.
Be careful doing a search for these pics now. Opportunist hackers are directing inquiries to their own own booby-trapped sites. It is hard to explain to the little missus why you are suddenly getting advertisements for penis enhancers, escort services and narcotic pain medication.
Not that I would know but I have been told.
BEWWWWWWWM! Ya hit that one right outta the park, FRiend. A little discretion from these people would save a lot of grief, and we wouldn't have to put up with being bombarded with yet another nude celebrity scandal.
