Of course, Blackwater doesn't even exist anymore to support its men, and so Uncle Sam is free to offer them up as sacrificial lambs, never mind the fact that they broke no U.S. laws, nor would they subject to the UCMJ.

Hardly, they were operating under the same rules as the US military at the time. Even if they were under fire there was no reason to be blasting anything that moved, just because they could. In any event they should be thanking their luck stars they are being tried in the US instead of Iraq.
