The blackout hides the fact that you’d need a machete to get through that jungle.....

The method used was to try the 500 (or so) most commonly used passwords (like "password" or "12345678") on each account and see who used a weak password.

I originally thought the same thing. But it turns out the perps triggered the too many attempted wrong passwords followed by answering security questions to reset the passwords. All "hacked" accounts had their passwords reset after the security questions were answered, because the stars used answers commonly posted in their blogs ("What is your pet's name? Your mom's maiden name? Etc.). Stars were too stupid to use strong security questions and unknown responses, and their private information is easily found everywhere.

"I'm still fuming that the FBI is wasting my tax dollars on an investigation....."

It's my understanding that federal internet pornography laws may be involved....in that several of the naked pictures were those of allegedly under-age girl "celebrities".

In that case, it's apropos the FBI be notified....and an investigation be launched if a pornographer (s) is indeed involved...and if there is an illegal pornography RING lurking in cyberspace somewhere flouting federal law.

There's sick and evil minds manipulating the internet both nationally and internationally every hour of every day. They can't all be caught, but in blatant cases like this, federal attention is welcome to root out any malefactors.

Well, I sure hope someone notifies them that Lois Lerner and the IRS have trampled people's Constitutional rights... that may not stack up to celebrity porn, but I think that should be investigated also.

Oh for heaven’s sake. These people make a living displaying their nude bodies, and performing sexual acts for the camera, the only difference is, when sold to the public, they call it art. This entire debacle is laughable.
