He didn’t break any Virginia laws. These are all federal counts.
It is against the “law” to be Republican in this country.
These are flat out civil rights attacks on being Republican and the party simply yields and the media celebrate.
It is sick and frankly disturbing.
Lawfare
I’d like to know who the prosector voted for last election.
Amazing. The government completely failed to show how Jonnie Williams or anyone else benefited.
Well... “mission accomplished” for the dems.
Exactly the goal all along. From day one.
Make no mistake the timing of the trial was to coincide with the fall campaign. The media and the DNC will be all over TV demanding Republicans repudiate the governor and sadly the spineless on our side will do exactly that. Then they will tag every Republican running for congress with the stain of Bob McDonnell. They have nothing to run on except to smear and destroy their opponents.
If there is one takeaway from the whole sorry saga, it’s this:
While in office, accept no gifts. Not one.
If you are a Repub, don’t let anyone know.
Too bad they’re not Democrats. They would skate.
And the Judge. Tom Delay warned Perry to take his own malicious prosecution seriously due to the fact that the legal system in Texas is run by the left.
So I wonder what the left is cooking up against Ted Cruz. I have no doubt they have a something special in mind for him.
Let’s see these RATS look into Harry Reid’s filthy self serving deals that feathered his, his Kid and his grand kids nests.
If so, it’s the victim of spectacularly bad timing.
Expect the death of Joan Rivers to dominate the next two news cycles. After that the McDonnell conviction will have slipped into being old news.
The Clintons got away with absconding with $80,000 in gifts to furnish their new houses. Dead broke indeed.
They deserved to be convicted. I’ve never seen people in a marriage treat each other like that during a trial. At least have some dignity even if you’re a crook.
They couldn’t even manage a modicum of human decency. Good riddance.
Expect the death of Joan Rivers to dominate the next two news cycles. After that the McDonnell conviction will have slipped into being old news.
Yeah, that's the biggest irony, I bet the democrats are gritting their teeth and cursing Rivers. They had hoped to get a couple complete news cycles dominated by "Republican Corruption" out of this conviction at least, now they will be lucky to get a 30 second blurb between the the Rivers coverage.
Holding my breath for the corruption trials for all of the favors the Obama administration has done to reward its supporters in big labor, Solyndra, corporate cronies, etc.
“While in office accept no gifts. Not one.”
Words to live by.
