Distressing Details for the Democrats. A new poll shows exactly why Democrats should be worried.
US News and World Report ^ | 9/4/14 | Lara Brown

Yesterday, a new George Washington University Battleground Poll was released, which showed that "Republicans hold a 4-point advantage on the generic congressional ballot."

While a Republican "tsunami" remains unlikely, many of the new numbers, reflecting the preferences of likely voters, suggest that the 2014 midterm environment is headed toward the historical norm. As Five Thirty-Eight's Nate Silver explained, "On average in midterm years since 1990, the generic ballot has favored the opposition party by 5 percentage points by Election Day."

Digging more deeply into the poll, a more distressing picture for Democrats emerges. Although they continue to maintain advantages among their base constituencies (women, minorities and young people), their margins of support have narrowed.

Three questions....

1. What will these pigs in the whitehouse do to bring out dem voters?

2. What will these pigs in the whitehouse do to suppress Republican turnout?

3. How much voter fraud and vote rigging will the GOP put up with this time?

There aren't any generic elections 8 weeks from now. There are only specific elections, with wildly different circumstances.

Too bad for republicans that there aren't any generic elections.

In polling results "generic Republicans" usually lose against "generic Democrats."

How many millions of illegals are voting in November. Sprinkle in a few thousand more blacks energized by Ferguson, and God only knows what waits in the wings to infuriate the bimbo single females. And then there's the voter fraud.. Multiple voters..

It's an uphill climb, Republicans.

There aren't any generic republicans or democrats, either.

Some are conservative, some are marxist, and then there is the dems...

It does not take much to cheer you up. A poll is just a snapshot in time.
They can change for better or worse quite quickly.
Let me cheer you up even more. I read a poll the other day that had the GOP
up 15 points. Do you have even more cheer?

I lied a little bit.

Actually I have the Eaton 17k model, but "Eaton" wouldn't have fit the generic/generac pun.

It's a natural gas model. I live way up north here and owned this house a couple full years before I could move in full-time.

The thought of a power failure and frozen, busted pipes 500 miles away haunted me till I got the Eaton installed.

Three years later we haven't had to use it much but it's good to know it's out there.

Do these turn on automatically when the power goes off or does one
have to start it manually?

My daughter said something similar as she put her pistol in her purse and headed to work. "Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."

You did great on the Generac pun, for a pun. ;)

That’s obviously true. They poured tons of money and time into trying to create the impression that Republicans wanted that. Pure projection.

Ditto for the war on women, when it’s the Democrats who want to FORCE women to behave as they say women should: with their bodies, their sexuality, their abortions, their promiscuity, their hatred and usury of men.
