Yea, me too. Putin didn’t move over 100 tanks yesterday just for this.

If it lasts through the weekend I’d be surprised.

Putin: “Let’s see... it will cost me $1 million US dollars to gas up and man these 100 tanks... Ok, I’ll do it. Then I’ll call a cease-fire the next day.”

Will the Right Sector and Merc militias honor it?
That is the real question.

By Merc militias, you mean the ones on both sides, right?

“Will the Right Sector and Merc militias honor it?
That is the real question.”

The question is virtually a moot point, because Russia is already in violation of the ceasefire by denying its presence and participation in the invasion of the Ukrainian territories. Putin seems to think he can continue the Russian offensive against the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the Russian Armed forces he denies exist in the Ukraine and then falsely blame the resulting combat engagements upon the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is typical Russian perfidy, and we can watch this unfold the very next time there is another announcement from Putin’s regime in Moscow falsely claiming the combatant Russian ground forces aren’t present in the Ukraine.

Many of the details from the ceasefire agreement reached today between Ukraine and pro-Russia rebels is being reported through unnamed sources. President Petro Poroshenko has referenced some of these points in a statement. Among them: The ceasefire deal in Ukraine includes a prisoner exchange; Armed forces on both sides will remain in their current positions; the OSCE will monitor the ceasefire. A little off topic but,

The European Union moved to dampen the latest diplomatic row with Moscow, with a spokeswoman for the bloc saying that Russian President Vladimir Putin's reported comments about sending forces into Kiev were “made public out of context.”

Italian newspaper La Repubblica was the first to report that European Commission President José Manuel Barroso had told fellow leaders at Saturday's EU summit in Brussels

just shows you can't always trust what you are told by the media. Especially in this conflict.

Russia has added to its wide boycott of some food imports by banning Ukrainian sweets. It comes as three high-level meetings across Europe focus on the Ukraine crisis on Friday, including peace talks in Minsk.

LOL

Don’t forget the requisite whining that the Ukrainians are not “honoring” the terms of the ceasefire.

However Poroshenko doesn’t control Merc. Battalions who are controlled by Kolomoiskiy, who is itching to undermine Poroshenko..... Same problem last time there was a cease fire....Merc. Battalions will ‘not’ obey Poroshenko. He does not pay them, Kolomoiskiy does.....

Additionally....Winter’s coming &people in Donbass need to be able to rebuild, otherwise humanitarian disaster.....Ukraine army in disaray, what’s left of it...thus Nato stepping up efforts to sustain what they can with help from Pentagon “advisers”... doesn’t appear is working to calm the theater by any means.

MeEanwhile while as cease fire was being announced...so to did Nato announce they were advancing “Georgia” to Nato Membership...(Just another means of keeping this conflict “hot”).

Additionally Nato Organizing “Spearhead Rapid Reaction Force” which earmarks Nato as clearly a “Military Force”...which is not it’s roll.

Who runs it...who determines when it strikes...who’s Parliment ok’s it to launch any attack? Bad news no matter how they present it as we could very easily find them on our doorstep.

Another reason Poroshenko wants a cease- fire now...more evidence Ukraine responsible for airlines crash continues to point they’re direction. Poroshenko cannot afford this coming out. Yarosh has already declared Poroshenko a traitor and several ready to out him with others waiting to assume control of the Gov.

Ukraine has no economy nor money without vast amounts coming from Eu or US.....so it’s being funneled through Nato to the tune of 50 million Euros. US taxpayers aren’t going to agree to this once it’s known.

We are basically picking up the “Military tab” currently for all the European nations refusal to pay their way in Nato, as agreed. They’ve not protected their own borders so now crying to NAto...which is the US...to cover their butts.

Unless Poroshenko can control the militias the cease fire will not stand long at all. ‘Kolomoiskiy’ is determined and a nasty character in this theater in Ukraine...he has the money to fight and the will to keep this conflict going...his desire to force US/Eu/Nato to fight Russia .....

Currently Kolomoisky is on the International Most wanted list.....he’s responsible for much of the deaths and brutality so....he fights like ISIS.

It will last until mid November, after the midterms and right before Winter starts. Then the Russians can act with impunity.

Dear CNN don't worry, the pause in fighting is just temporary. It is Putin playing with the West. This way he gets his French warships and allows some of the weaker EU memebers to avoid more sanctions.

Still Putin hasn't stopped his mischief, he is just starting to threaten others.

After all he just had a member of the Estonian government kidnapped so he can now start toying more with that country.
