The narcotics/pot dealers may be making some money, but the really good paying jobs are subject to random drug testing and pre-hire testing.
Not many people are fool enough to risk a $60K (starting) and up oilfield job over getting a buzz on.
So, much of that traffic is going to the service sector and others who aren't subject to testing.

McDonald’s will roll out a mobile payment platform on Sept. 15, 9to5mac.com reported Tuesday. The fast-food giant created the mobile ordering and payment app in an effort to increase sales at U.S. restaurants, specifically among people under age 34, AdWeek.com noted.
