I was brought up on westerns and cop shows in the 1950s. The good guys would duck behind their horse or car door and say "Common Charlie, toss down the gun and put your hands up". Then when Charlie took a shot at them, the good guys would shoot the weapon out of Charlie's hand. Sigh, I wish things could be like that now. Instead of people being shot for holding cordless drills, cellphones, bb guns, water pistols, squirtguns, etc. At least take a defensive position and see if the perp actually fires a gun. Sheesh. I know, cops are scared and want to take the offensive. In a case the other day, guy took 80 bullets from 6 cops. Now that's offensive.
Now we have:
That guy is holding a stick
BANG BANG BANG
I wonder why he was holding a stick?
