If some male employee of a Carls Jr posted a 16x20 poster of the screen shot of the commercial posted at number 11 anywhere in one of their restaurants they would be fired immediately. And if the employer were to post it then they would be sued for endorsing a hostile work environment.

The last time I saw that commercial I was watching an Angels Baseball Game with my three year old granddaughter. I suspect that since you seem to think these ads are just peachy that you don’t have any young children in your house that you really don’t want to expose them to this kind of pornography.

If you have an 8 year old daughter and you have no problems with her watching these women in their underwear giving blow jobs to their hamburgers, then don’t be surprised when they turn into sluts when they are 15.

No insults, Desert, and I like a beautiful woman as much as the next guy, but those commercials pretty much amount to soft porn. Was watching the morning news, getting my five year old daughter ready for school, and the latest scantily clad hot chick writhing on a truck eating a burger came on. I know I can turn the channel (and I did) but really, do I really have to start pre screening commercials now?

Your prurient interests are yours, and should be kept to yourself, and in your bedroom. Live and let live and all that. Aren'twe (conservatives, I'm assuming you are one) always saying the same thing about gays?

It’s ironic seeing Carl’s Jr boycotted by conservative Mormon girls. Carl’s used to be the target of feminists and gay rights groups back when it was run by its conservative Catholic patriarch Carl Karcher. And the soft-porn Carl’s commercials don’t just bother Mormon girls, they greatly offended the Catholic founder of Carl’s Jr as well. But he no longer controlled the company.

In the 1960s Carl’s Jr never had to advertise. Carl’s Jr food was so far superior to its competitors that there was little need to advertise. The pretty girls worked behind the counter.

Carl’s Jr began as a family owned chain in southern California. And from what I know he treated his long time employees like family. I heard of a fry cook whose family received a Hawaiian vacation from Carl. Loyalty counted for a lot.

In the 1980s Carl’s went from being a private family owned company to becoming a public stockholder corporation. That was the seed of Carl’s undoing at least to those of us who remember what it was. Carl Karcher lost control of the company he founded and was pushed out by the board of directors. Growth became the new goal of the number crunchers who took over, and quality took a back seat. Advertising aimed at teenage males would replace the word of mouth that used to serve Carl’s Jr so well. Carl died in 2008 at the age of 90.

Do you think they would allow their own commercials to be broadcast on the monitors in their own restaruants?

Somehow I think NOT!

Their restaurants almost always have a little playground for tots, but their commercials are nothing more than “R” rated pornography for gluttons and sex maniacs.

When I watch a baseball game with my granddaughter, I now have to pause the game for about a half hour and watch it on delay so I can skip the commercials to avoid having to expose her to that kind of pornography. So not only do I not watch the Carls Jr. commercials, I don’t watch any of them. I’m sure the other advertisers who don’t try to sell their wares with pornography would not be happy that because of Carl’s Jr., they are not getting THEIR message to me or my granddaughter.

Carl Karcher really should be nomintated for Sainthood.

His company has gone to Hell, but there is no doubt that he went straight to Heaven.

He got leveraged out of his own company because he refused to bow to the God of Political Correctness. They still use his name on their company, but their company is now run by greedy sex crazed abortion supporting Obama minions.

Best chain for a burger was always Steak & Shake.

Haven’t eaten in one in some time. We have a local institution in our little town that pretty much beats everyone. It’s called BJ’s (named for the owners, you potty minded people).

His wording to the woman was "Go, and sin no more." We don't have to choose between Islamism and liberalism, and we certainly shouldn't tolerate evildoers who deliberately and unequivocally encourage us to commit adultery by lusting after them.

(Of course, there's also the possibility that the adulteress story was fabricated by translators, given how it is inconsistent with the rest of the Bible.)

One of the things I miss about CA: Carls Jr.:
Something about the hamburger sauce and fries.

As a private practice, polygamy started sometime around 1831. Rumors immediately started to fly, as the 1835 version of Documents and Covenants shows, since it denied that it was a Mormon practice. This was, of course, a lie. So there were certainly beliefs, accurate as it turned out, among Missourians of the time that Mormons were secretly practicing polygamy.,>

My fathers family were early Mormons and polygamy did start in Upstate NY. My GGGrandfather was a missionary in England in the late 1830's and 40's and being poor was the Major issue in the LDS community, there were more Mormons in the UK than in the States.

Looking at my family History polygamy was a choice, some did some didn't, my branch was opposed others were not, my GGGrandmother destroyed the image of the passive Mormon woman.

Near naked models never stimulate my appetite for whatever they are selling. I'm normal. They stimulate my appetite for, uh, well you know.

Although, when I become King, I will outlaw boob jobs.

Sounds like it was kinda like In n Out Burger.

Accountants will inevitably kill a restaurant’s quality. They will point out, accurately, that slightly cutting corners will cut costs and cumulatively generate a huge bottom line profit. The big problem is that there’s always one more corner to cut, and the cumulative effect of that is that they wind up producing crap.

Hadn’t been to Wendy’s in quite a while. Stopped at one while on the road recently and was quite surprised at the drop in quality since my last visit. Hamburgers were now dry and tasteless, and their chili, which used to be pretty darn tasty, although it was a stretch to call it chili, was lousy.

The only preventative to this, I suspect, is to have a number one guy for whom quality is more important than an additional .001 profit per unit.

The short-sightedness of this is the result of the fact that the higher profits are the limited in time result of the time lag between their cutting quality and the public’s perception. Sales stay up for a while, but eventually drop once people realize Wendy’s doesn’t have tasty food anymore. What they are doing in essence is parasitizing and destroying their own brand, by far their greatest asset.

A decade or so ago, some fast food place, can’t remember which one, had an ad campaign trying to reverse this process. It was based essentially on claims that, “Our food isn’t crap anymore.”

He seems to be saying that, because Islam is bad, public licentiousness must be considered good. Odd reasoning for a Christian.

I interpret his message as "why not go after the BIGGER problem first?"
