Irani or iranian is a broader umbrella term for nationality. Persian, balouchi, azari, gilaki, etc.. are various ethnic grps in iran, most of whom more or less share same linguistic, racial & cultural (iranic aka aryan) roots.
Kurds too are an ethinc grp in iran per above definition. So they’re actually iranians.
