Why would Scottish independence become a catastrophe? Scotland can become independent...and then negotiate some sort of union (of equals). Why is England panicking?

That is what I don’t get; so Scotland decides to determine their own life and way of living and some how this is some major issue or drama or Shakespearean tragedy of Biblical proportions? The world isn’t ending, it’s just change as always.

This article is actually fascinating. Boris really only talks about culture, not politics or political union.
Would that they had spared British culture a long time ago, before embracing everything that is socialistic, gay and Muslim.
