The problem with conservatives is that they are easily divided. We are split into two camps, and the liberals keep pointing it out and we keep falling for it.

Two camps? If only it were that small a problem.

I currently count at least eleven:

1. Paleoconservative
2. Southern/Agrarian Conservative
3. Kirkean Conservative, i.e. true conservative
4. Social Conservative
5. Populist Conservative
6. Neoconservative
7. Ideological Conservative, i.e. walking oxymorons
8. Conservative Libertarian
9. Chamber of Commerce
10. Republicans
11. Fraudster Conservatives, e.g. Ralph Reed, etc.

About the only thing all self-proclaimed conservatives agree on is that the 2nd Amendment refers to individual citizens and not government created militias. That's a start I guess.
