In response to an inquiry about unaccompanied minors from one of its school divisions, Virginia’s Department of Education issued a memo this month reminding its 132 divisions about their obligation to educate all children.

According to the memo, under federal and Virginia law, the state expects that many of the unaccompanied minors who enroll in public school will be considered “homeless.”

“In addition, division superintendents cannot exclude from school attendance those homeless children who do not provide the requisite health or immunization information required of other students,” the memo continued.

Where does it say in the constitution that we’re obligated to educate all children? Oh, I forgot. What constitution?

My granddaughter started kindergarten the other day in VA and already there’s one of these vermin in the overcrowded classroom with her. Makes my blood boil.

They can try to justify this using various “red tape” type arguments, but they are not homeless, they are illegal aliens in violation of federal immigration law, so this tactic amounts to a criminal conspiracy to commit falsification of state records.

When are they going to line up all of the American taxpayers to kiss their “unaccompanied” asses the way the politicians are doing?

***“In addition, division superintendents cannot exclude from school attendance those homeless children who do not provide the requisite health or immunization information required of other students,” the memo continued.***

I don’t imagine this will sit well with the parents, teachers, and school personnel in general.

  1. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, &c, &c.
They always get things mixed up with the Communist Manifesto.

Homelessness rising under President’ Obama’s tenure. Women, children, and minorities most affected.

PS I was recently in a restaurant with satellite/web radio playing 80s “hits” hosted by old MTV VJs now working as DJs and they played a “one hit wonder” by a band who had the same name as the song ‘Living In A Box (I’m living in a cardboard box)’.

Whatever happened to the big push for corporate musicians to hype the homelessness problem (didn’t Paul Collins also have a weapy hit on the subject?)?

The government, schools and Democrats: “the homeless”.
The rest of us: “bums”.
So the feebs and Virginny are calling these kids ... railroad hobos? That’s certainly insensitive of them.

I wonder how many of these, uh, homeless kids will be walking the halls of Sidwell Friends school. Zero? Oh yeah—the ‘homeless’ get the ‘bums rush’ anywhere Inner Party members and their brats are found.
As well as the exclusivity, they get tasty cafeteria food, armed guards and real teachers. The rest of us get what Mexico tossed out.

and if one is an US citizen- school districts will punish parents criminally if they send their child to a school district where the parent does not reside in.
