The sexual revolution was part of a communist led political revolution. NOW admitted it at their founding. The Weather Underground have since come out about that too.
Free Love meant no refusal, someone wants sex from you, you submit. Free love wasn’t free.

What else is in it for Planned Parenthood to be pushing the homosexual agenda? It certainly isn’t about family planning.
While searching for the Ayers (9-11-2001) article from the new york times, I ran across this excerpt (in pdf) from apparently a longer text. This chapter covers the ties between sex revolt and political revolt and carried the chapter title “Smash Monogamy”.
It’s about 22 pages and includes footnotes to sourced quotes.

And society has been warned since the ‘60s about the consequences of “free” living but we were laughed at and thought to be idiots and stupid. How could this be when the college professors, free hippies, hollywood and the media said they were entitled to all this “free living”. Well, it is time to pay the piper and I am pissed angry because even thought I was among those who warned, I will be among the ones who pay.
I think you meant Gurley, not Hurley - as in Helen Gurley Brown.
The only Hurley that I can think of is Elizabeth Hurley, the model and actress, who I would consider to be well after Gloria Steinem on the time line.
