You are right in your assessment.

Some members of Congress, Dems and GOP, knew they were arming Syrian rebels out of Benghazi behind the backs of Americans. They knew it was wrong, but they capitulated because these warped jerks thought they were right.

Instead, they armed what would become ISIS. They screwed up and want to hide that fact.

They honest people were in that interview on FOX. Those security guys are very quiet about the political aspects because they probably fear for their lives. As we speak, they are being threatened.

There has to be more to the attack on the consulate, like maybe a planned kidnapping of Stevens, but the treacherous critters would rather bury that to save their own skin regarding arming ISIS.

Thank you for the info. Victoria may not represent them, but she shared that they were harassed on tv.

The video was posted with the title as it was written (with the word perjury), but another video found later used the word “harassing” which is more accurate. link below

The Fox host mentioned the word republicans, but that is not what Victoria Toensing said in the interview. Thanks to post 23 summary it was a staff member not republicans.

However, the response from Mike Rogers was that there were “hot button” terms used meant to sell the book. What he didn’t say was more revealing as in post 35 by not accepting responsibility for his chief of staff. (video link below)

The hot button term “stand down” was used in the Fox special, and as explained in post 23, the CIA is not the military (terms are different). However, there were other “Capabilities shut down” for some reason” as is mentioned in the video below. And if you recall any of the Benghazi hearings, there was the testimony of Gregory Hicks and the leader of FEST as well.

True .. she’s representing them (because of the book); but that doesn’t make her the bad guy.

I’ve never known her to support anybody who was even slightly in the wrong .. so that’s why I’d believe her first.

Hope you watched the Mike Rogers video at post 87.
From what I recall, he said (indirectly) that the 3 authors were not harassed and that the hot button term “stand down” was used simply to sell books.

He further said that the Victoria Toensing was an attorney that was “in it” for the money (from the book).

He also did not own up to the responsibility that it was his staff member who harassed the 3 authors.

He is slick - being a former FBI, he knows how to say something and lead people to believe what he wants them to think.

As a side note going back to post 87, my point was that the host interviewing Toensing was also misleading when he said it was republicans that harassed the 3 authors in the lead in to the segment.

So the broader point is that citizens are at a direct disadvantage when it comes to realizing when we are being misled and the power of the media and leaders that we have been told to trust.
