In the creationist model of origins, the world was not fraught with death, disease, and violence until after Adam and Eve’s rebellion. The whole of creation was then subjected to a negative turn of events, including the emergence of fungal pathogens that cause death and disease in plants and animals.

So God created the lion with sharp teeth to...do what exactly? Why the horns of the rhinoceros? The spines of the porcupine? The claws of the bear?

So you know this to be true then huh? No way for anyone to be sure since we were not there. Is it possible that many if not all the life forms were changed with the first sin?

Every dog and cat I know eats grass. If I were as smart as the creator, knowing there was going to be a time that they needed those teeth and horns, why not prepare them? They won’t need them again once the Messiah returns to rule, so if you survive the tribulation you will get to see. Also, I think when He does rule again and earth is again at peace, lions and lambs, people will live to be 800 years old? I’m going to plant a Sequoia and take a picture of it once a month. The future is my place of peace. Every renaissance of man has been a dark age.
