That's what I'm going with. The superintendent is a Marine. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Personally I think he was ordered to do it by someone further up the chain than him, but there is also a chance he could have been former military and just hated officers, which I’ve seen before too.
If he was told to do it then which branch it took coming down down, the school or the company, is the question I would like to see answered.
