They should compare 1930’s Germany to 2014 America. They should assign a comparison of the US today to Weimar Republic (1919-1933) Germany.
They don't dare even let the thought of this comparison cross their minds because it undermines all the basic foundations of the cocoon that all modern liberals blissfully live in.
