Around 50 mayors and law enforcement officials from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Chicago will meet in Milwaukee on Thursday to discuss ways to reduce gun violence.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges are hosting the 2014 Milwaukee-Minneapolis Summit to Combat Gun Violence at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center on Wisconsin Ave. The event is funded with a $38,000 grant from the Joyce Foundation. It is not open to the public.
This year's summit will focus on law enforcement perspectives on gun violence and include a review of new models for crime gun investigations, as well as information on emerging firearms policies across the United States. A similar summit was held in January 2013 in Minneapolis and participants then agreed to meet this year in Milwaukee, Barrett said.

1. Cops carry guns for THEIR OWN protection, not yours.
2. Bad guys don’t use legally obtained guns
3. Bad guys don’t register guns; only law abiding citizens do.
4. Cops cannot and will not protect you.
You have to protect yourself.
5. To protect yourself, you MUST be armed.
6. There should be no impediment you legally carrying a firearm.
7. Second Amendment should trump all local and state gun laws.
All they need is a strategy to deal with young black males. The rest is just PC window dressing.

Lets look at the perps and see if any particular population stands out?
And THERE is the elephant in the room that no one will notice.
But if you preach (and I use that word carefully and accurately) that it's all the fault of evil old white guys, you relieve the populous from any responsibility for their own actions or situation in life.
The Republic is dead. All we are left with is Democracy, the mother of mobs. Thank you Presidents Wilson, Roosevelt (both of them), Nixon, Johnson, Bush (both of them), Clinton, and Obama.

There must be a couple of oathkeeping peace officers that would attend with inconspicuous digital recorders.
Certainly there would be things that might be of interest, knowing that they do not want the public to know...

Wow. They held a similar summit in January of 2013. They are having a follow up in September of 2014. Why are they rushing to solve the problem? Could it be that not solving the problem keeps them in power?
We here at FR know the answer to that question.
Why is this meeting in Milwaukee, instead of Chicago where to worst gun violence exists, or Minneapolis, home of the baby terrorist cells? I wonder if they’ll allow Sheriff Clarke to attend, since the public is banned?

The “solution” will be to disarm law-abiding right-wing NRA members. Because racism, or something.
Here is a unique idea on controlling gun violence: Tell the thugs and bad guys to stop using guns in their crimes. Leave law abiding citizens alone.

Just look at the government actions in the high gun violence areas and don’t do that.
