Rep. Barbara Lee, the Oakland Democrat who for years has sought to repeal the war-making powers that Congress granted to Bush in 2001 and 2002, said Obama acknowledged that Islamic State poses no imminent threat to the U.S.
"ISIS was nowhere to be found in Iraq until after the Bush administration's invasion and occupation," Lee said. "We can't forget that history, because now we have to make hard decisions that hopefully will not in 10 years (lead to) an even greater problem."
