Even if Republicans can win a net gain of six seats to seize control from Democrats, the GOP would be far short of the 60-vote majority needed to break filibusters.

Reid dispensed with the filibuster rules when it didn't suit him. So that is the new normal for the democrat majorities. Are the Republican majorities going to govern with the outdated rules?

If the Dems do lose the majority, I bet Reid and cohorts will change the rule back during the lame-duck session.

Even if they do, the new majority should change it back -- make the Dems live under the changes they made.
