PRIME Minister Tony Abbott has promised to send Australian military forces to the Persian Gulf to assist in attacks on the Islamic State.
He told media in a press conference in Darwin today that he had decided to prepare and deploy an armed force to the UAE to assist the United States in its military action against the Islamic States forces in Iraq and Syria.
He warned should this extend into combat operations, it could go on for some time

Mr Abbott said Australia had received a specific request from the US government to contribute forces to possible military action in Iraq.

under Obama’s leadership? Bad move Australia
The war is within England, not without. Until England begins mass deportations of Muslims it will never have a chance to remain part of Western Civilization. It never will, ergo England is DEAD.
I agree, can we be far behind the UK, we pamper the Islamists just as much as England, it appears England is just the first domino in the total collapse of Western Civilization.
Thirty five years ago I wouldn’t know an islamist from a salami sandwich, muslims were characters in some remote part of the world, that flew around on magic carpets (exaggeration to make the point) now they are the number one threat to the entire world and are winning, accumulating power on a daily basis, all while wearing dirty white dresses...JUST WOW!
While looking at trees, you overlook the forest. The UAE is Islamic and is extremely modern. It and other nations of the Gulf do not accept the radicalization of ISIS.
Although perhaps the number one threat, that threat is countered by the economic and military power that is only now beginning to be brought to bear. There is no leader but it seems the UAE is assuming the role. If Obama really dances, it will be to someone elses tune
