One thing you never want to do in advertising is appeal to your target audience.

How times have changed.. i.e. BET-tv, NAACP, black colleges, black movies, black tv programs, basketball, black on white/asian/black crime, prison demographics, black abortion statistics... ETC..

Every sitcom, commercial, advertisement MUST have a black person.. MUST HAVE..
You can say Honkey but not “the “N” word”..

And quite literally EVERY black ghetto in any american city is a toilet where police(fireman) don’t want (or refuse) to go, and non blacks risk their very lives if stranded there..

American black Culture is POISONOUS.. on almost every level..

I remember years ago, the Burger King “have it Your way” ad campaign had different black and white commercials

In the 1970’s there were TV ads for Boone’s Farm wine featuring black partygoers straight out of Shaft’s Big Score or Cleopatra Jones.

In the ad they were jazzing up Boone’s Farm by pouring grapefruit juice into the bottle & calling it a “shake ‘em up” (less alcohol that way, really).

Always something for folks to complain about.
