German TV Shows Nazi Symbols On Ukrainian Soldiers Helmets

Germans were confronted with imagesoftheir country’s dark past on Monday night, when German public broadcaster ZDF showed video of Ukrainian soldiers with Nazi symbols on their helmets in its evening newscast. In a report on the fragile cease-fire in eastern Ukraine, Moscow correspondent Bernhard Lichte used pictures of a soldier wearing a combat helmet with the "SS runes" of Hitler’s infamous black-uniformed elite corps.

That sheds some light on things. Still, Putin sucks just as bad. Too bad they won’t all just kill each other.

That's the battle flag of Novorossiya. Novorossiya is the state the Ukrainian rebels are trying create, consisting of the Donbas region (Donetsk and Lugansk).

Considering how the Nazis thought of Slavs as Untermenschen, the thought that any Slav could identify with the Nazis makes my skin crawl.

I personally don’t care if they are Nazi or whatever. It’s not our business. I get a feeling there are a lot of Ukraine supporters on FR, some who want to send them aid. I think we need to be really careful about how we spend and send military aid to.
I’m not saying be isolationist, just rock of all the wasted money aiding any country with their hand out.

We have Vets out of work and living on the street, can’t get benefits earned.
