Wow. Who ever thought bad guys were so, well, you know, bad.

There was a car accident on Chicago’s near south side years ago; a pregnant woman driving to the hospital in labor is struck by a hit a run driver. While she lay dying in her overturned car, she was robbed of purse, money, phone and jewelry.

Recently the local paper ran a headline about a “Drug Deal Gone Bad,” where the buyer was shot to death. What exactly is a drug deal gone good? The sale is completed and the user slowly destroys his life and the lives of those around him and then dies and the supplier services more customers? So many of these people are simply bad if not evil.

I was born and raised in Toledo- actually lived on Walbridge as a little girl, of course, that was back in the good ole days when Toledo was not like Detroit.

Toledo has 100’s of gangs now- Walbridge area is in South Toledo, not a very good neighborhood now....
t
I go back now and then to visit with some family- I cry when I go through my old neighborhoods in South Toledo...it has become a little Detroit....

I grew up in west Toledo just off of Sylvania Ave. Hubby and I lived in south Toledo on Hill Ave. I don’t go back anymore.

You always hear about "robberies gone bad". Actually, the robbery was going just fine --up to the point it became a murder.

Just because their names aren’t the same doesn’t mean they aren’t married. Our daughter had professional reasons not to change her name after marriage and still uses her maiden name.

Where I grew up, my next-door neighbor Robert was always doing bad things. He would try to force me into shoplifting, stuffing stuff in my pocket at the stores. Which I would empty out and tell him no. I decided to stay away from him. He gravitated to car theft, burglary, etc. and ended up in juvenile lockup. After high school, he was doing a drug deal from his car half a block up from our homes. He got his throat cut ear to ear. He was bad, but the other guy was "badder".

I went to Harvard Elementary from 1969-1971, then we moved to Cleveland. I lived on Kenyon and we used to walk to the zoo and watched fireworks at Walbridge Park. I have not been back in 30 years since my grandparents passed away.
