Belgium, like most (all?) European countries has outlawed the Death Penalty because they claim it's "barbaric" (like those Neaderthal Americans).
But it's "enlightened" to grant them Euthanasia?

While I don’t agree, I can understand the logic. The difference is that the person who is to be executed for a crime (presumably) is not being executed by his own choice. It is imposed upon him by the state. In this case, euthanasia is the choice of the criminal, not a sentence being imposed upon him by the state.
