He’s such a heavy-handed “humorist.” Never ever found this guy funny.
Check out “Modern Manners”

He was a lot funnier when he wrote for National Lampoon, and I was 12.
He’s funny but not always accurate. And for many years he was one of the few “journalists” out there defending the U.S. and skewering Democrats...and some Pubbies as well.
Appreciating P.J.’s style may be a gender and generational dividing line. He was the editor in chief during the classic days of the National Lampoon (”Buy This Magazine or We’ll Shoot This Dog”) so for those of us who were in our long haired drug and alcohol fueled wastrel years back then, only to graduate to opened eyed Conservative “Reptile Republican” maturity, he’s one of us. Besides, he’s also one of very few writers who honestly describes the turd world s@#$holes of the world just as they really are and calls out the pretentious latte sipping elites who’ve never had to do their business squatting over a 4” wide steaming hole in the ground or seen children die fly infested and belly distended, yet find native innocence so much superior to crude American convenience. But you are certainly entitled to not appreciating P.J.’s bludgeon style.
I did, but this was painful.
