A lot of the big employers in downtown Batimore are talking about leaving because of the danger to their employees, even during the day. One employer, a big financial firm, said that they had trouble hiring people, even for very good salaries, because people were afraid to work there.
That is the same problem for NJ’s cities; nobody wants to work there, and the proliferation of suburban office parks has made that a reality. Newark NJ functions as a rail hub, through which productive people pass going from one safe area to another.
In scenes reminiscent of “The Walking Dead”, masses of stoned gibsmedats panhandle at the perimeter of the train/bus station. As it gets dark, the police presence is withdrawn and the press closer and closer. Costly attempts to keep white workers in the city after work spending money have proven to be abject failures...
