Yes.

The welfare state has institutionalized the marginalization of fathers.

Everyone around here knows that. ..

I mean, if you have children when you apply for welfare, then have one after getting the money in order to get more benefits. That’s unacceptable. I agree with your standards in regards to men as well.

He has some things right on some conservative issues, but he has always been a loose cannon who speaks imprecisely and who constantly says dumb and seemingly intemperate things. He and a group of Arizona Republican leaders like him contributed to my switching years ago from R to I. He was shot out of the saddle in his primary race for a State Senate position two years ago...

Good riddance to the walking political suicide gaffe machine.

Thanks - excellent update.

According to the article, he was the first “vice-chairman” of the state Republican Party.

Probably an honorary position, but the damage is done, and will continue to be done by the MSM.

BASIC POLITICS
TO MINIMIZE ANY DAMAGE
If you have a lefty like Sanger comming out and urging worse you repeatedly pound away using that person’s statements while refuting any gaffe your side may make.

“Good riddance to the walking political suicide gaffe machine.”

That was my take on him as well. Just another Todd Akin with a mouth and brain that make the rest of the party look bad with them not having to try on their own.

“The welfare state has institutionalized the marginalization of fathers.”

Not in the case of the Black “Perambulating Penises.” They don’t even know what the word “marginalize” means. They are merely on a trim hunt, as they litter the landscape with “welfare kids” and single moms.

I think women on welfare who keep having children while on welfare should be sterilized

You should be very careful advocating for forced sterilization on this forum, I've seen people banned for it.

"Hardly a Top Republican"

He was a top immigration hardliner republican. And very influential on Joe Arpaio.

The idea of the tent jails originated with Pierce, who was Arpaio's deputy.

Early on, Arpaio wasn't an immigration hardliner, but he noticed how easily Pierce got elected to the lege and Andrew Thomas got elected to county attorney by campaigning on a hardline immigration policy. Arpaio shifted to a hardline position and has never had close election since.

Piece eventually fell out of favor with the voters so in that sense he is not, or no longer a top republican. But he got a top job in the republican party machine because he is a top republican amongst the people who work in the republican party machine.

So it’s alright to abort a child but forcing welfare recipients to avoid another pregnancy ...while they are receiving confiscated money from their fellow citizens is somehow outrageous......what!!!!

A partial answer would be to tell the breeding mares, OK, we’ll help support the first one but after that, no new benefits for children numbers 2 through 20.

(I don’t really agree with supporting even the first one)

That's an excellent point, ontap.

I did not notice the hypocrisy until you mentioned it.
