A major clinic that I frequent employs a gentleman with a severe physical handicap, his job is to operate just such an elevator. I applaud the man for his ability to perform the tasks day in a day out. He has a pleasant attitude and politeness is always present as he greets the elevator riders. Now if individuals like that were to be hired to operate the elevators for the Capitol politicians, I would go along with it. On the other hand, having elevator operators due to affirmative action, I totally disagree with. Are these Washington elevator operators products of Odumbo having "created jobs"?

Sorry, but D.C. is not empowered to ‘make jobs’, no matter HOW altruistic. It’s that thinking that has allowed the elected to hand out taxpayer $$ as if they owned it themselves (welfare).

It’s enough to re-affirm how out-of-touch the elected are with the separate elevators (yet MORE $$/upkeep), instead of riding along with the People that pay their salaries/perks.
