Best to kick them out and be armed.
We CAN be as armed as we want, at least in most states. That's been true for a LONG time. Nothing new here and nothing to get hot and bothered about concerning guns and owning them.
My husband bought guns (with permits, of course) in northern California, where we lived for a bit, then brought them back to the Bay Area.
He carried ... and we were always well armed and that was some years ago.
He only needed his gun once (in northern California) and that was against this monster dog at the beach that his owner (a woman) couldn't control. He was going after our two sweet pound hounds.
He told the woman to control her dog or he would shoot him. She hurried him away, dog sort of controlled.
If he had had no gun she probably would have ignored him, people being people.
Side note: Dianne Feinstein ALWAYS packed. She said that she was "afraid" to go out at night without it. Stupid confession. Stupid woman.
