He will probably vote for the other anti-conservative Senator instead, no big difference.
I have read many attempts to assert that there is no difference between McConnell and Reid. None of them come close to making the case. One can certainly argue that McConnell leaves much to be desired from a Conservative point of view, but to declare that he is the same as Reid is laughable.
