Texas needs to finally make good on their century old threat to secede.
It would instantly be the wealthiest and most free nation on earth.

If Texas tried to secede I imagine Oklahoma and Louisiana would jump on board- probably others as well.
But the states that depend on our tax dollars (Texas is one of or the only net contributor) would pitch a fit and demand the that the Union be saved, even by force.
It would sure be interesting.
What if Cruz gets fed up in DC (realizing the futility of it) and comes back to lead a secessionist movement?
I can dream right?

“Texas needs to finally make good on their century old threat to secede.”
Too late. The window for secession closed about 30 +\- years ago. Too many transplants here now. About 90% of Texas residents now live within 100 miles of I-35 which means they live, work within this long suburban and urban cocoon and have little or no cultural connection with what it means to be Texan.
