U.N. chief detects 'sense of anxiety' on climate change [new word: "climate disruption"]

On the eve of Tuesday's U.N. climate summit, the United Nations chief underscored the urgent need to tackle climate change by moving toward an energy-efficient, low-carbon global economy.

Speaking at the opening of Climate Week NYC, a set of more than 140 climate-related events across the city, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he had noticed much more urgency to address climate change than he had seen in previous U.N. gatherings on the issue in 2007 and in 2009, when governments failed at a Copenhagen conference to agree a new binding climate treaty.

France has been chosen to host key U.N. climate talks in December 2015, where governments are due to agree a new global deal to tackle climate change. Paris is already working to bring nations together in a united effort, Fabius said.

"If we let emissions grow, catastrophic climate change will accelerate," he said. That would mean more droughts, floods, human misery and international security challenges.

"I don't use the term climate change - I think the more accurate term is climate disruption," he added.

In the run-up to the 2015 conference, France is encouraging countries to achieve five goals under which Fabius called the Paris Alliance for Climate.

The goals are: creating a universal legal agreement and monitoring system for reduced carbon emissions; putting forward national commitments to curb emissions by March 2015; agreeing a financial and technology package to help meet pledges and accelerate the transition to clean energy; and securing commitments and initiatives from cities, regions and corporations to deal with climate change.

The real goal: implement international socialism, confiscate all private property, implement mandatory population control, destroy Christianity.

China, India and Russia are not present. This is a blatant attempt by its enemies to destroy the US economy. These vipers should be exterminated and the U.N. building in NYC should be razed.

The anxiety this nut senses is the anxiety of how the hell are we going to heat and light our homes. p

I wager the “new anxiety” stem from the fact that 1) the earth is cooling and 2) the donations are decreasing and 3) no one believes the lies.

UN Chief (Algore, Michael Mann, Leonardo DiCaprio) say “We WILL STOP Climate Disruption!”

“The men (in the street) were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” “

/s

Their arrogance is unbounded. This is especially ludicrous in light of their proclaimed supernatural ability to “fix” a non-problem.

I've been waiting for the new term, now we have it! Yeah!

As you note, whenever a term "loses traction" with the sheeple the fascists have to move on to something else, preferably something scarier.

I do think you missed a couple though. By my count we had:

Fun stuff. This term may hang in there for a couple of years. That is until studies/data leak out that show the incidence rates of extreme weather are within historical statistical norms - in other words weather and climate are cruising along within measurement confidence intervals. That may take a year or two to sink in, but I'll bet they stick with "disruption" for a while just 'cause plain old climate change was so last-decade. They'd have never gone back to it if they hadn't gotten spanked so thoroughly over "rapid climate change."

“If we call it a new word, people will believe our lies!”

I forget if this is attributed to Goebbels, Pelosi, or Algore...

I think you need to add the latest incantation from the Church of Al Bore: Colossus Climate Catastrophe. The imminent demise of the planet if we don’t give these freaks all of our remaining cash so they can “save” the planet from ourselves. Translation: Wealth redistribution from the producers and providers to the elites and scammers.

As everyone with a brain knows, this is all a giant, on-going hoax to scare people into giving up their lifestyles to satisfy the agenda of the liberal left. It is Politically Correct Environmentalism. I heard that idiot Patrick Kennedy interviewed Sunday at this People’s Climate March in NYC. Asked if he wasn’t being a hypocrite by not giving up his gas-guzzler SUV and capitlaistic-created cell phone, he told the reporter that you can’t blame the individuals for climate change. You have to blame the Koch brothers.

And that my friends says it all. Mental deficiency on public display.

Climate disruption may be a new term, but it is not the new term that you should be paying attention to.

Instead, notice the term "climate resilience"

Used in conjunction with climate, words like change, shift, disruption, etc are descriptive.

Climate Resilience is prescriptive. Instead of describing it or talking about it, resilience is doing something about.

You can google climate resilience to get the idea and also notice other terms being used, like adaptability and venerability.

I used spell check which corrected my spelling to venerability rather than vulnerability.
