Gohmert: Lois Lerner will miss Eric Holder
The Daily Caller ^ | 9-25-14 | Patrick Hawley

Posted on 09/25/2014 1:15:11 PM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert said that Lois Lerner will miss departing-Attorney General Eric Holder’s presence in the Department of Justice.

Holder, who announced his resignation as attorney general Thursday, has been overseeing a federal criminal investigation into the IRS scandal that has been accused of protecting the key Obama administration officials involved.

“For many years now, I have been calling for Attorney General Holder’s resignation,” Gohmert said in a statement. “Not only has he lied before members of Congress and, ultimately, been held in contempt, he has obfuscated the truth and been the most partisan, partial, prejudiced, and self-pitying attorney general in my lifetime, including [Nixon Attorney General] John Mitchell who went to jail for his crime.”

“As a former judge who has questioned Holder numerous times before the House Judiciary Committee, it is frustrating to seek the truth and receive dishonesty and arrogance from the chief law enforcement officer of the United States government.”

Gohmert went on to detail Holder’s abuses of power.

“Additionally, he has prosecuted more people for leaking, which sometimes is an effort at whistle blowing, than all other attorneys general added together,” Gohmert said. “He has not only failed to investigate crimes and potential crimes occurring in this administration, he has been the cover-upper-in-chief and will be sorely missed by those in the administration like Lois Lerner who want to disobey the law and flaunt it. It is my sincere hope that the Obama administration will appoint an attorney general who is reputable and truly desiring to uphold law and order for all Americans– not just cater to this administration’s whims and ideology.”

Gohmert and Holder got into a famous back-and-forth at a Capitol Hill hearing in April. “You don’t want to go there, buddy,” Holder snapped at Gohmert, who questioned Holder about the fact that Holder is in contempt of Congress for failing to produce documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal.

Fat chance of that.

The two names I’ve seen touted as potential replacements for Eric (with)Holder both say they’re not interested in his position: Kamala Harris & Deval Patrick. I think he’s sufficiently poisoned it with the investigations that will be ongoing even after he leaves (IRS, F&F) that Dems being looked at for the position can see handwriting on the wall, particularly if the Repubs somehow end up with both House & Senate. The next AG choice will be interesting .... top qualification will be a willingness to continue to subvert Justice and cover for Obola and his corrupt administration.

We know who holder was when he was under Janet Reno. Who’s been a lowlife under Holder and beyond?
Who’s also been a D-dummy in the department?

re: Lois Lerner will miss Eric Holder

I seriously doubt that. Obama will replace him with a clone. Second verse, same as the first.

And our gutless Republican leaders will meekly comply with his wishes. (Although they may lament the state of affairs in their fund raising appeals and reelection campaigns.)

Not really.

The lying racist BolsheVick in the White House will just replace him with another Marxist goon and idiots like McCain will stand around and call the nominee a “good family man”.
But with a salary of $174000 to $240000 a year plus a 3 million dollar expense account and assorted other perks, it’s no surprise they only want to not rock the boat and keep sucking at the public teat.

Discussion just on FOX. Don’t see either one. What is Jamie GOrlick doing these days. She has a background of screwing things up that would fit the pattern

Oh boy, I’d forgotten about Gorelick & she was a deputy AG - sort of wish she’d stay forgotten. The worst person for the country that Obola can pick is exactly who his nominee will be. He might have trouble finding someone he’s as close to personally with that level of loyalty. Who knows .... if Mooch hadn’t lost her law license, he’d probably try to nominate her (half joking here).

Oh God, not her again. She screws up everything she touches. So, I guess she would be a perfect fit for Barry.

She’s got a law degree .... don’t think she’s ever practiced law. Obola: “License? She don’t need no stinking license!” Nothing would surprise me. She does have a psychology degree - maybe that’s how she’s worked her way to being Obola’s “puppet master”.

I just LOVE Louis Gohmert. At first I thought he was a bit of a clown, but I have come to admire his intellect; and I think he is one of the brightest lights in our Congress.

Holder needs to take a walk in Fort Macy Park before he leaves town. ;)

If Eric the Red gets in real trouble, he has a Obama pardon waiting for him...

No fear, no worries...

Holder will unfortunately die of old age never spending a day in court or jail for his crimes...

Is there any chance in hell of that happening? None, zero, zip, nada.
Anyone Obama nominates will be at least as corrupt and partisan as his trained chimpanzee holder is. Republicans should do everything they can to strip bare any nominee and expose anything they can on them.... I know, fat chance.

Can you tell the difference between a serious proposal and a rhetorical proposal? Gohmert is just putting Obama on notice as to Republican expectations. Nobody really thinks he’s going to abide by the suggestion.

In a perfect society, Obama would really try to find somebody who is “reputable and truly desiring to uphold law and order for all Americans”. But, we all know that Obama and his cohorts are corrupt and venal.

Holder knows all the secrets of the Obamas. Not a good position for him to be in. I hope he goes to jail.
