Joan, and the entire Rescue Movement were treated like scum by the Catholic bishops. Thus, the LAST opportunity to end abortion peacefully was passed up.
In the intervening years, the bishops have done all they have dared (after all, Rome SOMETIMES notices what they do) to encourage Catholics to continue voting pro-abortion. And, of course, they have campaigned ceaselessly to bring in more and more pro-abortion voters from abroad.
The Catholic bishops ensured that abortion would only end, someday, by violence. Violence that will certainly destroy the United States as a political entity, and very likely physically destroy the American people.
Catholic bishops only want to do what is “lawful” and “legal”. In other words, they don’t want to put their butts on the line to save babies. They only want to take the easy route. How can you say you’re against the killing of babies and then knock those who are willing to go to jail to protect those little babies? If you don’t want to do it yourself, so be it. But why not support those that do?
