His “A Moveable Feast,” is beautiful. One of my favorite books. Spare & elegant.

I think the extent of Fitzgerald’s smile may depend on where he himself ends up in the pantheon.

I haven’t read “A Moveable Feast” since the Hotchner edition came out in 1964. I liked it a lot but would like to read it again. All I can find in Kindle form is the revised edition by Hemingway’s son, which sounds a little self-serving to me. I’ll keep looking for the original but Amazon doesn’t appear to offer it. I may be stuck with paper.
