Unrepentant Ted Cruz Calls Democrats the ‘Radical Party’
The Wall Street Journal ^ | Sep 26, 2014 12:30 pm ET | Beth Reinhard

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s speech to hundreds of conservative activists on Friday amounted to a dare to other potential Republican candidates in 2016: Just try to get to the right of me. Just try it.

Mr. Cruz called for abolishing the Internal Revenue Service, getting rid of the Common Core educational standards and repealing the Affordable Care Act. He defined himself as staunchly anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage and pro-Israel.

“There are people in Washington who say Republicans to win have to abandon our values,” he said, as members of the audience shouted “No way!” and “It’s a lie!”

While polls last year showed that last year’s government shutdown hurt the Republican Party’s image, Mr. Cruz has been unapologetic about his role. He reminded the crowd that this week marked the one-year anniversary of his 21-hour speech on the Senate floor that helped lead congressional Republicans towards a budget showdown over the Affordable Health Care Act.

“The modern Democratic party has become an extreme, radical party,” Mr. Cruz said.

“I was stating their POV on the matter, not my own.”

Like I said, I take you at face value, I believe you.

So, I’d ask you to re-read your post. This is what you wrote in full:

“The shutdown only hurt the Republican party’s image because one, the media refused (as usual) to report the truth, such as closing memorials to vets costing more than to have let them remain open, and two, because the GOPe tried to distance itself from Cruz and doing the right thing, like the unprincipled cowards that they are.”

There is no indication that the shut down hurting the Republican Party image is not your own point of view.

I am not saying it is your POV, but what and how you wrote made it seem like you agreed or accepted that the shutdown hurt the Republican Party image.

Good grief. Surely you heard the media rattle on and on about how the “whole country” was “disgusted” with Cruz and his allies for the shutdown? The media presented that perception, and unfortunately, i am inclined to believe that a majority of the country would believe it, seeing as this is the same country which elected Hussein not once but twice, even after he shoved CommieCare down our throats. The GOPe also banded together against Cruz, Lee, and the few others who were trying to stand for Americans, for the vets, and against the raising again of the debt ceiling. I can see what the media and the GOPe did, and explain it, without endorsing it or agreeing with it.

And my posting history and stances against the GOPe, which will be well-known by long-time Freepers, supports what I say, most recently in the Cochran fiasco in my home state.

Now stop trying to attribute to me a stance which my entire posting history disproves, even after I’ve further explained my stance.

I told you over and over that I accept your word and am not trying to attribute that to you.

I wanted to point out nicely that what you wrote gave the impression you accepted the view that the shutdown hurt the GOP.

So be more careful and don’t write so sloppy if you don’t want to give the wrong impression.

That’s all.

Sorry. I didnt mean to come on too strong.

I so tire of the GOP establishment Romney supporters types beating the dead horse of how much the shutdown hurt Republicans.

I doubt that it did damage Republican support. I don’tthumbk the general public noticed much or cared.

S’okay, really. I’ve noticed that when some of us Freepers, myself included, have been getting especially feisty here at FR over a particular issue, it sometimes unwittingly bleeds over into our interactions with fellow Freepers on other issues. We haven’t yet tamped down the anger and feistiness and it spills over :)

I won’t argue with your position for most can see that is where we are at...and it’s been “progressing” for quite sometime.

Even if a strong conservative is elected...it’s going to take time to turn this ship again...and that in stormy waters you can be sure.... When the left doesn’t win they create storms to rock the boat.

Interesting is it’s just not in the political arena that there’s a divide....but we’re seeing this same infiltration and division in our churches, the left is bringing in all sorts of issues that prior people would have ordinarily not even considered.

He should’ve been more specific. I’m a radical when it comes to individual rights.

WSJ is lost, too.
Go Cruz!
The Democrat Party is firstly undemocratic, then unGodly, ignorant, unlawful, Marxist/communist, queer, drugged, sexist, racist, hateful, vengeful and suffering cognitive dissonance at every turn.

I would not overestimate them (nor underestimate their ruthlessness).

To start with, their philosophy is poppycock, that fails so often and so thoroughly that it maims and kills people, to the point that they declare maiming and killing to be desirable. It has no redemptive features, and yet they hold on to it with religious zeal, despite all evidence to the contrary.

For this reason, it is guaranteed to fail, because it violates a basic tenet of government throughout history: that a government must *deliver*, not just promise, or it is destined to fail. And the ratio of promises to delivery is all that matters. “Putting lipstick on a pig” doesn’t matter one whit, because failing governments *always* lie.

The second reason is that they are always a tiny minority, so much so that they always try to conceal their numbers and pretend to be the “mainstream majority”. And the truth is that individuals within this radical minority are “defective units”, utter failures in their own eyes, with bone-deep inferiority complexes masked with superiority complexes.

This means that they are always on the lookout for people they can feel superior to; and they embrace them as long as they stay humble and inferior, while acknowledging the superiority of their “betters”. But when they show any initiative or strength, the left discards them like a soiled facial tissue. Precisely because they are “too equal”.

Yet at the same time, they lend themselves to organization much like that of criminal mafias, in which all activities are for their supreme leader, and the interpretation of the purpose of government is simple: to reward their friends and punish their enemies. Nothing else. The end result of this is Detroit.

Such a simple truth, it's the kind of thing conservatives and the GOPe need to repeat over and over again, until enough people start to reconsider who these dems are.

They are the face of evil in our time, thankfully Cruz seems to understand that. Run, Ted, run!

What has erupted under Obama’s watch is the hyper-activity of the Parasite attacks on the Host.

Currently, the financial Parasites are 47 % of the population, as they pay no personal Federal Income Taxes.
