Oklahoma tried to pass a law pre-empting sharia from ever being implemented, a judge struck it down after CAIR took it to court. Why would the US need to have an opening for sharia law to ever be implemented?
Certainly from my point of view, sharia can never be implemented so long as we have the First Amendment. The idea of political correctness also violates the First Amendment yet people are fired, sued, and even prosecuted for going against the conventional wisdom of the progressive autocrats.
