That is a cop-out based upon a Jewish interpretation that was distorted by practice pursuant to historical choices that no longer apply. The principles and benefits v. punishments of that law still DO apply and are observable worldwide (knida like you'd expect with divine law). It is clear however, that you have no concept for them, having never contemplated that statute deeply, or you would understand its direct application to your life (consider its centrality in Matthew 25). And yes, I wrote that book. What I am addressing is your pontificating to me about obedience, quite apparently misunderstanding what I posted. You are so full of yourself that you were blinded.
Have you obeyed it?
I have certainly made arrangements and attempts to do so in terms of its literal interpretation, but I do fall considerably short. This was to be a societal commandment, and as such we as SO far from it that it is effectively impossible to do, Abel being long dead. The next edition will make that quite clear.
Christian farmers that I know believe they honor that instruction when they rotate crops and allow their fields to lie fallow every few years.
If I have a farm, I can have the entire farm lie fallow for a year, or I can have a seventh of it lie fallow each year.
Are both obedience, or is only the first obedience?
