One problem is every title here gets indexed by google (title and blurb only show up on google searches). Half our new readers come in from google. If they’re fooled right off the bat, chances are we’ve lost them.

Could you enlarge on that meaning...maybe an example?
I love reading John’s satire and expect it the minute I see his name. Could the problem be avoided by changing the title?
While that is an understandable explanation, I do think Mr. Semmens' contributions of late could have been handled differently. His satire has been a part of FR for years.
