I think there's some sport in letting FReepers (including myself) discover that something they're reading is "having them on" as the Brits say. I personally enjoy having one put over on me every once in a while as long as it isn't something grotesque like a false reporting of some kind of tragedy or death.
If you have to explain up front that it’s satire...then it’s not good satire.
