Second Amendment Vs. Islamic State In Oklahoma

The Islamic State has issued a global call to lone wolves. One could be standing behind you on the bus, walking next you at the mall or sitting in the next cubicle. In the age of the Islamic State and solo terrorism, gun-free zones are simply an invitation for a terrorist attack.

In Moore, Okla., the life-saving value of the Second Amendment was proved once again. It may be our secret weapon in the ongoing war against terrorism.

With the 2 million plus persons allowed in to the country from islamic countries, does anyone believer there AREN'T some sleepers in that number. One percent would be 20k. That's a lot of potential to do harm. It wouldn't take much to create panic in the streets with just a few acts of terror in the heartland of America. Level orange and carry on.

This issue definitely requires a heightened sense of awareness of one’s surroundings and the need to carry AT ALL TIMES when out in public.

It’s a shame for the Muslim people who do not subscribe to the violent beliefs circulating in their faith, but the suspicion that all Muslims will experience by those around them is a direct result of their lack of condemnation of the violence that other Muslims are perpetrating across the world. The so-called moderate Muslims have been virtually silent, and will reap the consequence of that.

From what I have seen, being a Moderate Muslim means you don’t have a weapon in your hand yet.

I used to think that most Muslims were moderates who just wanted to live their lives like the rest of us, but I have started to doubt it. I’ve come to believe that most Muslims, at least the ones who are observant at all, share many of the same beliefs as IS, Al Qaeda, etc. Maybe not to quite the same extreme. Just ask them if they believe apostasy should be punished with death, or whether blasphemy should be a criminal act, or whether Sharia should ideally be the law. Many will openly say “yes”. So really, they believe much the same as the radicals, and given a situation where they are the majority, they would rule that way. They just don’t have the stomach/balls/whatever to actually go out and put it in practice themselves. They know that “radicals” preach hatred to all other faiths (including Muslims who don’t believe the “right” way) in their mosques and schools, and in some cases even instruct in beheadings and other such things.

Until average Muslims repudiate the lack of freedom of choice in faith inherent in Islam, the outright hate towards Jews and other infidels, and so on, why should we not consider them part of the problem? Their faith creates the fertile ground in which terrorism grows.

I know a woman who was married to a muslim and lived in Saudia Arabie for 10 years. She says ALL muslims believe in Sharia law and are told to lie about it.

The so-called ‘moderate’ Muslim may not be as moderate as you think they are.

Worked with many Muslim engineers in the US and ME and I find their religious attitude not much different from that of the less educated Muslims.

Expect more Islam-related ‘workplace violence’ and more disingenuous explanations from government agencies and MSM.

Recently there was a Muslim gathering in OKC, they came out to say they were against ISSA/ISSL. It looked like there were some Christian brothers there as well, what a joke, the Muslims using the Christians to say they are OK people and should be tolerated.

Now I am wondering if this was some kind of signal to Islam terrorist that it is time to start their terror, i.e. the Moore beheading, and then again an attempt to behead at some nursing home.

It is a hmmmmmmm factor, and one that I would not ignore. So, I will be very careful when out in public.

I agree with your statement that, in large part, the so-called moderate Muslims don’t voice condemnation of the violence because they, themselves agree (but are maybe unwilling to perpetrate violence themselves). I also agree that we can expect to see more lone attacks in the US in the future.

I will say, however, that there are probably are secular Muslims that disavow certain teachings in the Koran, just like there are secular Jews, Christians, etc. (I once had a Muslim co-worker wish me a Merry Christmas—lol!) I know that this small secular group vocally condemning the violence would had little effect, however, because I think that they are the very small minority. After all, it’s pretty clear that the Koran teaches and promotes violence against ‘infidels’.

I couldn’t agree more with this statement. I also agree that Muslims that we label ‘moderate’ are actually apathetic/or even okay with the violence that IS and Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, Al Nusra, and the Taliban perpetrate against those of other religions. I think the group of more secular Muslims that repudiate teachings of violence in the Koran is very small.

I couldn’t agree more with your last statement.

Absolutely on the money w/ that stmt. I also suspect that while Holder & F Troop was goofing around w/ F&F these sleeper cells were arming themselves via straw purchases. The cockroaches in DC will use the outcome to ‘keep us safe’ by passing more draconian gun laws. For DC its a win/win.

I agree totally with more concealed carry.

IMO we also need a moratorium on immigration. I know it won’t happen but we sure need it.

Personally, I don't understand why anybody could possibly want to own a gun these days.

In reference to the sign in your post (and many other examples), again I say:

If we (bible-and-gun-clinging intolerant prone-to-violence conservative red-neck insert-your-own-favorite-leftist-media-epithet here) were the people they are always insisting we are, there would be NOTHING on display remotely like that sign, and much of the loud mouth so-called progressives wouldn't dare to utter a word.

I guess we're not who they say we are. Perhaps they are projecting...

“Moderate Muslim” is starting to be perceived as an oxymoron. Someone here on FR once wrote that moderate Muslims are viewed as apostates by radical Muslims.

I was told the same thing by a Kurdish friend.
