Something strange happened this weekend. I moved to Cedar Rapids Iowa about a year ago and we have a very small airport. Saturday I was downtown at the hotel bar and there were a bunch of people from Dallas stuck in Cedar Rapids. They said it was because of the Chicago fire but I couldnt figure out why they would end up here??? They were telling me stories of how no matter what they did they couldnt fly to Dallas. One lady told me she was able to fly to Minneapolis in hopes of maybe getting to Dallas but when she got there, no flights to Dallas. Another lady drove to Des Moines in hopes of catching a flight to Dallas but after 10 hours at the airport there, she turned around and went back to Cedar Rapids. These people had no intention of going to Cedar Rapids, and it seems strange they would end up here as its such a small airport. Its my understanding many more folks that could not afford a hotel that were on their way to Dallas were stuck at the Cedar Rapids airport. According to the folks I talked to, most were headed to Dallas and most had flights that did not go through Chicago. Interesting, eh? Things that make you go...hmmmm? Let's see...fire shuts down flights across most of the upper midwest. Man flies into Dallas with Ebola about the same time. Name not being released. Scant personal information. Supposedly shows up at the hospital himself.
Now if I were paranoid I might think that terrorists loaded a bunch of ebola people on planes and sent them to airports. The gov got wind of some of them and shut down air flights as a precaution on pretext of a fire.
But at least one got through (that we know of) in Dallas. Was caught and brought to the hospital.
Whacky?

According to local news, the patient was taken by ambulance and the Dallas city ambulance personnel who transported him are in quarantine, per the mayor of Dallas, Mike Rawlings.
Mayor Rawlings looked nervous on TV.

I’d been wondering the same thing. That there was intel on something going down with planes. Didn’t make sense that a “guy” trying to kill himself, lighting a fire could cause all those flights to be cancelled or delayed and of course I would not expect the Govt. to fill us in on the real scenario.
