I would have assumed it was all the tailgating all-black pickup trucks with the Darth Vader window tinting who think Dale Earnhardt taught them all they need to know about freeway driving.
Although, in truth, the most costly repairs are probably caused by the distracted moms in their “mommy boats” (my name for mini-vans) while she’s yakking or texting on her cell and the kids are in various stages of crying, yelling, screaming and throwing things. Accidents probably happen less often but those beasts they drive cost a ton in body work when they do get in a wreck.
LOL! Their US marketing gurus must think so, given the mondo strange-o aspects of some of their ads/lit. There is, however, "no failure like success," and locally, Subes have become (gasp!) pretty mainstream. In fact, there are probably more bumper-sticker homosexuals driving Toyotas around here.

The backup camera definitely comes in handy. The latest engine has Dual VVT-i. Toyota recommends the premium fuel for demanding situations such as towing, off-roading, and driving at high elevation.
I owned Corvettes when I was in my late 20s. I invested a lot of my enlisted pay rather than drink it away at the NCO Club.
Anyway,I was on US Highway 2 in North Dakota driving my Dark Bronze 1985 Corvette. A red 5 liter Mustang came up from behind and passed me as I was doing about 70 so I punched it and blew his doors off. Coming the other way was a ND state trooper and I saw him brake and cut through to our side of the highway. I was expecting to get nailed as he probably had me doing about 90 (I was well over 100 at one point) and was wondering if my career as an officer was over. The trooper pulled the red Mustang over even though he was behind be.
From then on I minded my "Ps and Qs" around the base and town.
