Jacksonville, Florida (CNN) -- Jurors found Michael Dunn guilty of first-degree murder Wednesday in the 2012 shooting death 17-year-old Jordan Davis.
Dunn's parents were in the courtroom for the verdict. Davis' parents, Ron Davis and Lucia MacBath, both let out a quiet gasp upon hearing the jury forewoman's words and then hung their heads and cried. Dunn did not appear to have an immediate reaction, but later, he turned around and somberly shook his head toward his father.

Let me guess.
He is a white, male, perhaps conservative. Used a gun.
Obviously, CNN declares him guilty even before the trial (without a “real cause” ya see, because his “victim” was only playing music too loud. An innocent youth.
So obviously, all of the riots will begin tonight. Right?

CNN Creshuna Miles, juror No. 8, says that race played no part in the jury’s decision.”
Umm, there has been a trial. CNN didn't "declare" him guilty, a jury did.
Premeditated. Really?
Dunn was parked outside a convenience store while his girlfriend was buying wine. Dunn got out of his car and yelled at some black kids in an SUV to turn their music down. They didn't and yelled back.
Dunn returned to his car, took a gun out of the glove compartment, and shot into the SUV ten times, killing one.
He and his girlfriend then drove 40 miles to a B&B, ordered pizza and a movie and spent the night. The next morning they drove over 100 miles home, where he saw himself on the news and turned himself in.
After Dunn retained an attorney he said he saw one youth stick the barrel of a shotgun out the window. The shotgun has now become a rifle or gun.
Dunn's girlfriend testified at trial that Dunn never told her anything about the guys in the SUV having any shotgun, rifle, or gun.
He went back to his car to get his gun, then came back and shot the guy. As any prosecutor will tell you, from a legal perspective, premeditation can be formed in the blink of an eye.
Based on what I've read about the case 2nd degree murder sounds more appropriate, but the way jurors are instructed it doesn't take much premeditation for 1st degree.
That’s guilty alright.
legally, he deserved it... i hope that old guy who killed the young guy in the movie theater for using his cell phone before the movie started gets the same thing... they make us gun owners look bad...
What kind if music was the victim playing?
But I can't help but laugh at the media going out of their way to attest to the fairness of the trial when they approve of the trial outcome. It seems the facts don't matter at all when they don't like the outcome.
If I had to guess:
Boom Boom Boom Boom
"Mudda F*cka Mudda F*cka Mudda F*cka"
Boom Boom Boom Boom
Repeat endlesly
Cool deliberation, no matter how brief...
I think the whole shoot up a carload of kids, go have a beer and a pizza as if nothing wrong happened is showing a deliberate indifference that won no one over on the jury.
Actually, I think he probably was guilty. He apparently had an “anger problem,” had had earlier problems, and was simply waiting to go off.
Hope he gets the chair.
makes ALL gun owners look bad.
Yeah, I used to drive around with friends playing music loud. and once or twice someone said “turn that crap down (FWIW it was Led Zep). and yeah, we told said person to kiss our ass. if someone thinks that’s worth getting shot for, I hope *THEY* get Mr. happy Needle, too.
Good. He murdered in cold blood. He knew what he was doing and what he did.
I'm flabbergasted his attorney didn't use a temporary insanity defense, saying that his client zoned out and had no idea what he had done as evidenced by his actions afterward.
Good. he’s a murderer who should spend the rest of his life in prison.
