Liberians WERE imported into the United States in great numbers.
The country was founded by freed American slaves, the Capital is named after US President James Monroe and there have been close ties between our two countries for the last 150 years or so. There are hundreds of thousands of dual Liberian-American citizens in both countries.

But how many more hundreds of thousands of Liberians (or Ghanians, Somalis, Guatamalans, or pick any other country of origin) do we need to import?
